In the psychotherapy sessions, we’ll explore:
The history of your challenges in this area, to identify the behaviour, patterns and beliefs which cause and hold these problems in place.
The uncovering and release of fears and survival strategies (like withdrawing and shutting down, or yelling and hitting out). These habits and personality programming were most likely laid down in childhood, in response to problems and trauma experienced in family-of-origin or community. While these survival strategies were understandable as a way of coping when you were a child, they are dysfunctional in adulthood, and undermine your current mental health, relationships and career satisfaction and success.
