  1. Are You Often Paralysed by Anxiety & Worry?

You worry about everything… your children, your relationship (or lack of relationship), your parents, your job, your finances, your health, even what you’re having for dinner tonight! You may also be anxious and panicky about the state of the world, wondering what went wrong and how can we change it? You may have had panic attacks and you often have a knot in your stomach. When you wake up in the morning you may even worry about what will go wrong today. It’s a pattern, and you don’t know how to break it.

3. Do You Fear Intimacy?

Single and worried you’ll never find another partner? Do you always think that no-one finds me attractive or that you are no good at relationships? Do you find a partner only for them to leave you again or do you expect your partner to leave if you have an argument or aren’t quite perfect enough? Do you have an underlying belief that you don’t have what it takes to be loved or that there is no-one that is a good match for you? It’s not true that all the good ones are taken, even if it feels like it when you look around!!

These kinds of beliefs can make us anxious and then we either avoid relationships altogether, or we cling like a limpet to the first possibility that comes along. Neither of these responses are healthy or likely to create the relationship of our dreams. The good news is, a happy healthy relationship is possible for you, especially once you learn to manage these intrusive patterns of worry and anxiety.

5. Are You Often Unhappy & Depressed About The Future?

The future looks black when we see it through a lens of fear, anxiety, unhappiness or depression. If you are very self-critical or have a voice in your head telling you how unattractive, fat, stupid, boring, unpopular, lonely or unlucky you are, that darkness can be a cloud that never seems to lift, or a hole you can’t find your way out of without help.
